How do I know if my child's e-bike has been modified?

By Ride Safe Dubai

Many parents aren't sure how to tell if an e-bike has been changed from its original, road-legal setup. A few simple things to look for: speeds that feel much faster than expected, a removed or bypassed speed limiter, aftermarket batteries or controllers, loose or added wiring, and stickers or labels that have been peeled off.\n\nIf you're unsure, ask where and how the bike was bought, keep the original documentation, and consider having it checked by a reputable shop. The goal isn't to blame anyone — it's to make sure the bike is safe and appropriate for a young rider. What signs have other parents found helpful to check?
